IRGC Spokesman Lauds Tasnim’s Documentary as Major Measure in War of Narratives

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – IRGC spokesperson General Ali Mohammad Naeini praised the Tasnim News Agency’s Hebrew-language documentary “Missiles over Bazan”, highlighting its role as a key measure in the war of narratives.

General Naeini made the remarks during the screening of “Missiles over Bazan” in Tehran on Monday.

He emphasized that the 12-day war in West Asia had been decisive and shifted the regional balance of power.

The general noted that the conflict imposed on Iran served as an indicator of the efficiency of Iran’s defense doctrine, social resilience, and the offensive capabilities of the Armed Forces, particularly in the missile domain. He added that Iran’s response to the primarily extra-regional threat had relied heavily on missile power.

The IRGC spokesperson said that while the 12-day war has ended, the war of narratives began before the conflict, continued during it, and has intensified in scope and professionalism since.

He drew a parallel with the eight-year war, quoting Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei’s view that the passage of time increases the risk of distortion or forgetfulness, and noted that the 12-day war contains details that would gradually be narrated, highlighting Iran’s defense as full of heroism and sacrifice.

The spokesperson further stated that until now, the different dimensions of the 12-day war have been insufficiently addressed, and that those involved in producing written, artistic, or visual works should gradually create content in this area.

He emphasized that the most important role of media is to take the initiative in narrative-building, noting that the enemy works hard to undermine Iran’s narrative of victory and cohesion, but that the Islamic Republic has successfully established its own narrative.

General Naeini described the 12-day war as comprehensive and combined in nature, stating that although military aspects are often highlighted, coordinated and effective media coverage during the conflict successfully narrated Iran’s initiative.

He added that domestic media, including Tasnim, maintained round-the-clock operational coverage, producing content and reflecting events in detail, and that the uninterrupted voice and image of the Islamic Republic despite attacks was a major achievement.

He specifically praised Tasnim for producing the Hebrew-language documentary “Missiles over Bazan,” emphasizing that such productions are essential to prevent distortion of the war and to demonstrate Iran’s power. He added that these initiatives are among the most important measures to counter the ignorance imposed on populations trapped under the security blockade of the Israeli regime, which censors and suppresses the truth.

The first Hebrew-language documentary produced in Iran debuted at the Tasnim News Agency in the presence of a group of media activists specializing in regional affairs.

The documentary presents a new and less-heard narrative of the conflict between Iran and the Zionist regime and also represents a new step in productions addressing the issue of Israel.

After the screening of the documentary, a number of attendees requested the release of the Persian version and versions in other languages, including English and Arabic. Majid Qolizadeh, CEO of Tasnim, announced that the versions of the documentary in Persian and other languages will be ready for release soon.

“Missiles over Bazan” takes an analytical and factual look at the covert confrontation between Iran and the Israeli regime in the field of oil and gas infrastructure.

Throughout the narrative, the audience becomes acquainted with new dimensions of intelligence dominance and high-level decision-making in wartime, when strategic rationality and iron will portray a precise and realistic image of Iran’s power on the battlefield.

The purpose of producing the documentary is to engage in dialogue with Israeli public opinion from a position of power and reality -an effort to display an image that has long been hidden from Hebrew-speaking audiences.

Using expert interviews, intelligence data, and visual reconstructions, the documentary seeks to convey the truth of the field in contrast to the depictions presented by Western and Israeli media.
