Kazem Jalali said in a series of posts on his X account on Tuesday that the gathering of SCO prime ministers in Moscow constitutes the organization’s second and most significant high-level meeting this year after the recent summit of heads of state in China.
The ambassador explained that while the leaders’ summit concentrated on political and international issues, the prime ministerial meeting is centered on economic matters.
According to him, multiple documents aimed at enhancing cooperation in this field have been prepared and are now being finalized by national coordinators from member states in Moscow.
Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref has attended the meeting in Moscow. He is scheduled to address the event and meet with several leaders and officials from the SCO member states to discuss the expansion of economic, energy, and transit cooperation.
The event’s main agenda items include increasing the use of national currencies in trade, developing joint energy and transportation projects, and strengthening regional cooperation.
